Monarchs Seek New Nigeria, Constitutional Inclusion
As the fog of national insecurity and loss of faith in the Nigerian project mount following unchecked, violent loss of human lives, the nation’s venerable first-class royal fathers recently held their 9th General Assembly of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The event chaired by NCTRN’s leader, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Muhammad Abubakar generated a dual consensus - a new nation where bloodletting must be stopped and end to constitutional exclusion of royal fathers.
