Anxiety, Anguish As 2020 Beckons
As the year 2019 is gradually coming to an end, Nigerians are looking up with nostalgia on what 2020 holds for them.
December 2019 • Publisher's Note
We are privileged to witness history in the making. The end of another year is here and I wish to join our numerous
readers and advertisers to thank God for making it possible for us to see the end of another year and the beginning of a
new one. So many things happened in 2019, and Supremacy Magazine followed them in our hard copy and our online: the
General Elections and the Inauguration of the 9th National Assembly and a new Cabinet, and state executives were some of
the highlights of the year that is winding to a close.
In this December 2019 edition, we have packaged, in our tradition some irresistible reports written in attractive prose.
From the nation’s security, we have report of President Muhammadu Buhari inauguration of the nation’s first made
armoured vehicles: The Mine Resistance Ambush Protected (MRAP) codenamed, Ezugwu MRAP. The elated President hailed the
Chief of Army Staff, Gen.Tukur Buratai and his men in the Army for the feat, with assurance that the Military will
continue to get the support they require to excel. We went extra mile to book and to conduct an interview with Spain’s
Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Marcelino Cabanas Ansorena in his office in Abuja. The Spanish envoy spoke on so
many issues concerning his nation’s relationship with Nigeria. We equally have our Cover report which bothers on anxiety
and anger in the land which captures the state of Nigeria from the beginning of the year to the end of it. You will also
find interesting our special features on Governor Mai Mala Buni new vision on education in Zamfara state, how Governor
Nasir El-Rufai is re-defining development in Kaduna state and Governor Matawalle’s magic wand in tackling security
challenges in Zamfara state. We also have a special report on Kogi, after the November 16 governorship election. On the
sports arena, there is also Nigeria’s Anthony Joshua making history as the world’s heavyweight boxing champion, amongst
our other regular beats. On this note, I wish you all Merry Christmas and a prosperous and exciting 2020.
