Edition 20: African Women of Excellence

Nigeria have not had it so bad in the recent past with the upsurge of mass killings, banditry, kidnapping and other forms of security breaches happening simultaneously across the country. The incessant killings in the Plateau region have remained a source of concern to all well-meaning citizens of the country, including the government and security agencies. To cap it up, FCT, the state of power in the country have joined the league of states being ravaged by insecurity. The question remains, will a lasting solution ever be found?

In this edition, we capture the perspective of the worrisome security challenges in both Plateau State and the FCT as a result of threat to the Nigerian state posed by unending bloodshed caused by shadowy crisis entrepreneurs. Our first cover is on African Women of Excellence, our first in the series, where we x-ray the profile of 20 African Women who have excelled in their given vocation, either in government, public or private enterprise. Their success story will ignite zeal and urge for the younger generation of girls to aspire to be whatever they want to be in the future.

Our second cover is on an accomplished civil servant and consummate administrator, Sir Adesola Olusade, out-gone Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, who recently bow out of service after a meritorious 35 Years’ Service to his fatherland.
