This year, 2021, is running very fast. We are already in the middle of it, and as a result two quarters have gone bye, with equally just two left to end the year. This puts pressure on all of us, to examine how our individual and corporate plans for the year have fared. But the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is not leaving anything to chance as far as preparing itself to meet the expectations of Nigerians is concerned. The Ministry under its hardworking and amiable Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has put a lot in place, especially in the last two years. Her success story, and indeed that of her Ministry has been packaged for Nigerians, and our readers as a whole for consumption. It is a must read for all.
Of course our cover story captures the mood of the nation. We got the government’s position on the matter as well as those of legal icons and the rest, all put in the report titled: “Nigerians Clamour for a New Constitution.”
Our Minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, who clocked 51 recently was honoured in her domain, Okene in Kogi state on June 12. We brought you the report of the colourful event.
From West Africa, we took a look at one of the most peaceful and prosperous country: Mauritania. One will be amazed about some hidden treasures of this great nation. Our package is mouth-watering.
