His Humble Beginnings:
Prince Arthur Eze was born on November 25, 1948, in Ukpo, Anambra State. He attended St. Augustine Secondary School in Nkwerre, Imo State. He furthered his education in the United States, studying mechanical and chemical engineering at California State University, Long Beach, from 1974 to 1978. As a family man, he is married to Mrs. Eze and they’re blessed with children. His son, Onyeka Eze, leads the Prince Osisioma Foundation.

In 1979, Prince Arthur Eze started Atlas Oranto Petroleum, a company dedicated to oil production and exploration in Africa. Today, the company is a major player in the industry, holding 22 licenses in 12 African countries. Prince Arthur's business interests also span beyond oil, with ventures like founding Triax Airlines in 1992 and investments in banking, real estate, agriculture and telecommunications. He is the CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum. Beyond his role in the largest private oil exploration and production company in Nigeria, he's a Philanthropist and Politician. He holds the traditional title 'Ozoigbondu' of Ndi Igbo, belonging to a Royal family in Ukpo, in his Anambra state home.

Arthur Eze’s Charitable Acts:
Arthur Eze, a devoted philanthropist, extends his generosity in various ways. From aiding victims of the Boko Haram insurgency to supporting educational institutions, medical research facilities, and flood relief efforts in Nigeria, his charitable contributions span diverse areas. Known for his philanthropy, Arthur has supported the less privileged and sponsored social causes. In 2013, he donated $12 million for building the St. Stephen Anglican Deanery and Youth Development Center in Bayelsa State. In addition, he owns Premier Breweries Plc, a Nigerian beverage company, highlighting his diverse range of business ventures. His company, Atlas Oranto Petroleum —the largest privately-owned oil exploration company in Nigeria with African and global footprint has 22 licences and scores of oil exploration blocks across the continent of Africa including Equatorial Guinea, Senegal, South Sudan, Sao Tome and Príncipe, Uganda and Zambia. Awards and Recognition:
Prince Arthur Eze's significant contributions to Nigeria's economy have been recognized with prestigious awards. Former President Goodluck Jonathan honoured him with the title "Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR)," and he was appointed Chancellor of Ebonyi State University. In 2015, the Rotary District 9142 acknowledged him as an "Outstanding Citizen of the World," and he received the Zik Leadership Awards in the business category in 2018.

Eze Emerges Governing Council Chairman, Isaac Balami University:
Arthur Eze, OFR, has been unveiled as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management (IBUAM), Lagos. The unveiling ceremony, which held in Abuja, featured the formal presentation of an appointment letter to Prince Eze by the university’s board and management team. Speaking during the event, the founder and president of the university, Comrade Isaac Balami, said Chief Eze was appointed in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education, philanthropy, and national development. He described the billionaire businessman as a man who has consistently used his wealth to uplift people and institutions, noting that his leadership would bring immense value to the young university’s vision and mission.

Balami said: “Our leader and chairman, Prince Dr. Arthur Eze, chairman of the governing council of the newly licensed Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management, courtesy of Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. “We are presenting this to you, not just as a leader who has distinguished himself on the African soil, but as a global citizen. “You founded an airline and operated one of the biggest aircraft hangars in Europe, based in Stansted Airport, and you understand aviation very well. This responsibility is for you to guide us the way you have guided others.

“We are totally submissive to your leadership, your guidance, and your prayers. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Senate of the university, chaired by Prof. AVM (Rtd.) Paul Jemitola, who is also the Vice Chancellor, we congratulate you, sir.” In his acceptance speech, Prince Arthur Eze expressed appreciation to the university’s founder and management for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to support the institution’s growth and success. He noted that the vision of the university aligns with that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in promoting innovation, education, and human capacity development. The Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management, which recently received its operational licence, aims to provide world-class education in aviation, engineering, technology, and management.

Reflecting its national outlook, the university’s appointments cut across all regions of Nigeria. While the founder hails from the North East, the governing council chairman is from the South East. The institution is located in the South West, with its registrar from the North Central and pro-chancellor from the South West.
